NBA Threatens North Carolina Over Traditional Value Legislation

Traditional Values Embarrassing? The mainstream media is in a buzz lately over another transgender/homosexual “civil” right clash with traditional values taking place in North Carolina for banning transgender bathrooms. As reported on The Journal Gazette,
March 30, 2016 - In the week since it was signed, North Carolina's controversial new law restricting transgender rights has drawn fierce criticism from across the country. Elected officials from Seattle to San Francisco to New York have ordered their employees to steer clear of the state. Big businesses like American Airlines and Wells Fargo said they were worried about the law. Small business have said they will steer clear of the state. The NBA even hinted it might move its 2017 All-Star Game, scheduled to take place in Charlotte.
And then there's the federal lawsuit filed against North Carolina by two transgender individuals and an array of civil liberties groups.
"Not only is this new law a national embarrassment, it will set North Carolina's economy back," said Roy Cooper, the AG, who also refused to defend the law against the lawsuit.
"We're talking about discrimination here," he said.
Okay, pump the brakes! Let's speak frankly for a moment. What North Carolina's legislators have done is make a solid decision on banning individuals that claim transgender to enter into their (by birth) opposite sex's restroom. Now why would they pass this law? Well just imagine if you will a woman that needs to use the restroom only to find she has to share it with a part-man, part-woman. Or the other way around, if a young boy were to go into his designated restroom to encounter a woman with male genitalia. Scenarios like these can only offer disastrous and even disturbing results if given the liberty.
However, problem herein is not that this law is discrimination to a people but a diabolical disorientation of what is considered normal in our country. In fact, according to nationally renowned Psychiatrist, Dr. Paul McHugh, transgender-ism is attributed to mental illness! As the good doctor said,
“This intensely felt sense of being transgendered constitutes a mental disorder in two respects. The first is that the idea of sex misalignment is simply mistaken – it does not correspond with physical reality. The second is that it can lead to grim psychological outcomes.’Sex change’ is biologically impossible,” said McHugh. “People who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa. Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women. Claiming that this is civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder...policy makers and the media are doing no favors either to the public or the transgendered by treating their confusions as a right in need of defending rather than as a mental disorder that deserves understanding, treatment and prevention.”
He also reported on a new study showing that the suicide rate among transgendered people who had reassignment surgery is 20 times higher than the suicide rate among non-transgender people.
This accurate assessment is not too terribly hard to grasp even among Catholics as our very own literature states the notion of homosexuality is contrary to the natural and moral order,
“….Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.” - Catechism of the Catholic Church 2357
But this is not what is thought of, instead, organizations like NBA are “steering clear” of North Carolina in a greater effort to shame the state due to its “discriminatory” law against transgender-ism. The NBA...really? So they are going to embrace the transgender society by self-determining what you are and what you are not? So how is that going to work when a woman with “corrective surgery” wants to play ball with the guys or how about a massively built man who thinks he is a woman and wants to square off against woman half his size? Think Shaq playing for the WNBA. How about all the normal people that have accepted their gender from birth who want to play? What about their rights to play against someone of their own gender, weight limit, muscle structure, height, etc.? Just think about it, how could the NBA allow this to happen without trampling on the views of regular ball players who adhere to their DNA? It simply cannot truly adhere to this because even the NBA realizes that men and women are in many ways built differently! And guess what, that isn't a bad thing! These 'uncivil' rights activists and hypocritical companies, like the NBA, have largely sided with a mentally ill minority over average men and women to a crippling degree. But oh no, we don't think about those people. Because why should we? After all, being who you were born to be is just embarrassing and discriminatory.
